I personally opened a case and posted all the details here. I asked all those who have been scammed to open a case and supply me with the case numbers so that I can approach the police with multiple cases. Sadly, even though there were many scammed here - not a single one supplied me with a case number. The apathy displayed by people scammed here is what scammers like Nick Crichton rely on. By doing nothing you achieve nothing...

There is no way someone in JHB wil be allowed to open a case in PE. My wife was sent from pillar to post just to open a case in JHB (the case number was posted on this forum). She had to eventually go to the police station nearest our home, even though we were assured this is not neccessary - It seem the police want to just move the workload somewhere else. When she opened the case she was asked to provide the address where the crime took place. She told them it occurred on the Internet and she was then asked to provide the physical address of the place so that they can visit the scene of the crime. It would be funny if it was not just so depressing...

Any updates?

I am assuming that nothing has happened to this scammer due to the lack of updates?

Every person that has been scammed by this man needs to open a criminal case against him. He needs to be sentenced for the multitude of crimes which will carry a much larger punishment than a single crime. I have posted all his details that you would need on this thread including his ID number. You can also link your case to the case number I have also posted. I have a copy of his ID that I can email you if needed.

Don't ever expect your goods. My wife was scammed by him this December: Paid for wooden furniture advertised on JunkMail and the same story. I posted the note below on www.reportacrime.co.za today 6th Jan 2016 Whoever has been scammed please report him as well. This person goes by the name of Nicholas James Crichton (aka Nick/Nicolas) ID number: 8105095104088 Cell Number: 082 267 2071 Email: : crichton0120@gmail.com He supposedly lives in Port Elizabeth He advertises various pieces of wooden furniture for sale on classified sites such as JunkMail. The furniture is never delivered and is always "on route" but he will not give you the courier company name or the tracking number. Eventually he will not correspond with you anymore.
