  1. The problem might not be with power or leg speed. If you are climbing well, your power is there. What might have come undone is your pedaling technique. If you are not pedaling with a smooth cadence on a flat road, you will loose the rhythm and slow down the leg speed which you need on the flats. Try getting onto a set of rollers and check your pedaling. if you are pedaling well, rollers should be a walk in the park. If you pedaling is off you are going to wobble all over the place.
  2. If you are still having hassles with that tubeless conversion, give me a shout, I have found a cheap way to solve 99% of the tubeless problems. I have just done my wheels again and pumped them up with a floor pump and no sealant!! I used the standard tyres (not tubeless) and they went up straight away. They did leak because of the thin side walls. When I switched to tubeless tyres (kenda Karma) the tyres stayed hard with no sealant for 2 rides, with zero hassles. I did not use sealant just for test purposes, but would not recommend doing this!!
