  1. Howsit hubbers I need your help with choosing a new set of pedals, I am looking for a pedal that is specially made for triathlons, does any company manufacture tri specific pedals?? If not what would you suggest? I have always been a fan of LOOK but I feel like a change, thinking of going for the Dura-Ace pedals?? they not tri specific but they light with a nice surface area. Shot!!
  2. read all the posts, might've spoke to quickly but that doesn't warrant putting someones life in critical danger, he does have a point though that things seem to be a bit out of control in the cradle (when a driver has to completely get off the road cause of oncoming cyclists)??!!!???!!!! i hope things get sorted out respectfully for all parties! We need to remember that cars are bigger and heavier that us

  4. where is this guy from, i am actually sick in my stomach that someone would so easily say he has knocked 2 cyclists down, with a tone that he recieved a medal for it. I would love to slap him till all his teeth pass through his backside!!! tribarwarrior2009-09-18 05:58:08
  5. shot Tankman!!
  6. as i understand it FELT in general had issues with their headsets! i think the newer models have been sorted out??
  7. not sure what your budget is but there are usually a few carbon rims up for sale in the classified section, these American Classics are awesome wheels but i'm not sure if they are quite 50mm but they are really fast, follow the link: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=60746&PN=1
  8. An 85mm/50mm is more a Time Trial set-up!! A 50/50mm would be much more beneficial for you! An 85mm wheel is more for guys and girls who don't want to use full disc wheels but still want the extra aerodynamics at the back half of the bike. An 85mm won't be too bad in the wind if it's at the back, it will only reek havoc if it is on the front with a cross wind as the wheel is obviously more moveable cause of the steering capabilities. Trust me 50/50mm will be your best bet, also trying to sprint an 85mm at the back will be alot tougher than a 50mm, at speed it will fly but you won't have that initial acceleration that you will enjopy with a 50mm. Not sure how competitive you are but as Lance says.. "Every second counts" and when it comes to that last 50m sprint a milli-second could make the difference. As far as I know the guys on the major Tours don't race the stage races and classics with wheels bigger than a 50mm front and back...

  10. for me it's knowing my competition will be up at 4h30 training so come race day if I sleep in I will be found wanting! come rain or shine the thought of them training and me not keeps me going, great thing is I can see their faces in my head!! Also really really really want to represent SA in triathlon so that scares me into getting my body out the door! and there's nothing better than a good hard session after work to bring your mind back down to reality!
  11. thanks
  12. Please excuse my ignorance but does someone know the difference between 3k and 12k weaving with Carbon Fibre ??
