A mate of mine has these with tubeless rim strips and is very happy (just done Transbaviaans on them). I rode two Epics (07 & 08) on a pair of American Classic hubs & Mavic 217 rims, purchased in 06 with no issues. Initially I had some bearing issues but these were upgraded and I still have the spares I bought for the Epic...After many km's it was suggested that an upgrade the freehub mechanism with the new one as it was worn although still working OK Bought a set of Mavic Crossmax SL and the rear hub wants way more loving care. AC's are now on my wifes bike.
