    Why are there hardly any events listed under the Hub lately? Many events through other media not listed....for a favourite web joint for bikers this is disappointing.

    Hi, I'm South African, my girlfriend Australian, living in Bali, Indonesia. We recently purchased a couple of locally-made MTBs. The brand is Polygon. They're surprisingly decent bikes. We're coming back to Cape Town soon for 3 months and, ideally, would like to bring the bikes with us on the plane to use while we're there. Can anyone enlighten me as to what, if any, duty/vat implications there are for doing this? The alternative is to buy while we are there but we would much prefer to bring our own bikes, Thanks Nick

    Hi, I am also a cyclist doing road and MTB. I need to buy a supercab bakkie and they go for just over R220 000 for some decent Ranger. Just wondering what I am paying for in buying a Cannondale Scalpel for example for R180 000. It seems quite a lot for 2 wheels and a frame and no engine. What make a bike so expensive? This is a serious question as I cannot see what can cost so much.

    Hello New to the site but wanted advice on the new gadget I have seen advertised(dont want to use the trade name in case I got into trouble). It is fixed onto the bike on the handle bar to provide a bit of cushioning/suspension when going over lumps & bumps on rides. I get quite sore thumbs & elbows after these sort of rides as I suffer from some arthritis. It looks good & would pay for it but wanted to hear what others say if they have seen it or have one. Thanks Captain

    So we have a black bikes thread, a white bike thread and a whole bunch of others... But no thread about weights. I am not sure what the rules should be, but lets do this: 1. Bike weight stated ready to race. You can leave the extras such as saddle bags, but if it screws on or squirts in, it must be added. 2. Pic of YOUR bike, not some bike. 3. It can be any bike, SS, Fixie, Road or MTB. Show us them race steeds!

    Hi Guys and girls, Havent been on a bike in a few years and use to ride before. Sold most of my gear including all my bikes back then (5-7years)... So, thought i`d ask the general community - whats the best value racer at the moment and why. No budget ideas yet, so i know its a open ended question, but lets not talk anything under 105 shimano and at least a carbon frame please?? Iam just looking for something to mess around on, or rather enjoy my time on, and if i wana race, well, then i can. has to look good as well. Please assist and give me good feedback.

    Hi guys, I am considering to do the Bela Bela Triathlon this year. I have done triathlons in my youth (15 years ago) and now I want to relive the thrill. Has anyone of you completed this race? Any tips? Also - since I just can't get myself off of my "new" single speed road bike.. Would this be considered a good idea to take this bike of mine to the event? I am really not interested in winning, it is more of a personal challenge. The only other bike I have is a MTB so it is either the single speed or the MTB on slicks. Any hints would be appreciated. (Already vowed to sign up for the 2014 94.7 on this specific single speed) Eish. Kind regards, G

    Would you source from a registered trading company directly out of Taiwan for your components? Higher end stuff will of course be cheaper, and group buying on tires etc will save a lot of money. What would be your concerns as a customer? Thanks. Expat in Taiwan
