  1. Hi All I just got the Bryton Rider 530 and set it up... 2 Questions: 1. When trying to plan a trip (from my street down the road) it always says unable to find route? I've updated and GPS software as well as device softward and Firmware and still cant seem to create a route between 2 points on a map? 2. Is there anywhere I can download (and then upload to my device) some cool trips saved by other users from in and around the MTB trails in Cape Town? Thanks in advance

  3. Hi Guys Anyone know where I can find a mount for my Bryton Rider 40? Something similar to the attached pic. Similarly, maybe you know of a different brand mount that would be compatible with the Bryton unit, like a Garmin mount, etc. http://www.bikebug.com/images/Garmin%20Mount.jpg
  4. Hi guys, my dad lost his Bryton speed/cadence sensor somewhere along the Spruit this past weekend (emmarentia to delta) It's black and is quite a big sensor, the one that sits on the bar next to the wheel. If anyone found/finds it please contact me. They're expensive to replace.. Thanks smile emoticon
  5. My wife got me the new Bryton Amis 630 multi sport watch for my birthday. And I love it. The problem is that I promptly lost the charge cable. And it is a dedicated cable.... I could not find the replacement cable on the Bryton(Ballistic Bike Trading) website. So I mailed them and asked for it. Adam Taylor replied within an hour!!!! Saying they have and what is is going to cost. Plus the courier fee as I am not in Jozi. I paid the money and send them the proof as well as the shipping address on Wednesday at 13:00. Yesterday, Thursday at 14:00, the courier company(The Courier Guy) delivered the package. That is amazing service. Thank you to all involved.
  6. I baught a Bryton rider 21 in March this year. It seems that every time I ride on rocky terrain the thing just freezes at some point in the ride and I end up losing my ride or have to restart the thing at some point and lose half or most of a ride. My theories are narrowed down to rocks hitting the cadence with integrated speed sensor. Should I take these off and only try to get info from the GPS computer itself when going off road or should I go see the local distributors and ask for a replacement. In case I only rely on the computer I can just as well try to hook up a small sized android phone and also save weight on crying a phone. I so want to spend money on other things at this moment and a GPS it not one of them.
  7. I have a Polar and a Bryton GPS training device. I am wondering what other peoples experience is with the different types of training support software, not so much the devices themselves. I am fairly disappointed in the Bryton web based analysis tools. Editing of the training is pretty much non existent, the mobile device interface is frustrating and half the buttons/links do not work properly. Cant download my training via my Samsung at the moment due to software issues. I am informed that an updated web site is coming, but not sure when. Hopefully this will allow me to customise the elevation of the rides i do, as it is silly having a training ride on the Highveld with a base elevation set at sea level. I can not even see where the climbs are on my training ride. The Polar software is quite a bit more user friendly, as well as being based on my PC which is nice. Not all info recorded is available to trend either which can be frustrating. Garmin, no info yet. Feedback, abuse, support, etc etc welcome.
