Good day, I want to know if anyone knows of a Dirt Jump competition happening this year or if there is even any happening in RZA? Where and how do you enter? On what platforms does it get posted? I am asking for spectators and as a competitor? Do they have comps at Hellsend or other spots in the WC? Kind regards, Steve A

Sup guys, Shopping for a 140mm travel bike. And then out of nowhere the Skyrim pops up. So I need some feedback from you blokes on the bikes, and which one you would buy or what you would rather look at for around the same price... What are your thoughts on the 2017 Camber Comp? I'm trying to decide between the Camber and the Stumpjumper FSR Comp (R9000 more). Any other bike (Trail 29er) recommendations in this price range? Camber Comp: R40k Stumpy: R49k

I am looking at buying a carbon full suspension XC mountain bike and the two in my price range are the Giant Anthem X Advanced and the Camber Comp Carbon. The Giant has great components full XT while the Specialized also has excellent reviews. Any insights on which would be the better choice are appreciated?

This is a precautionary note for owners of 2015 Spez bikes that share the same hubs as the Rumor Comp : A friend just purchased a low milage Spez Rumor advertised on the Hub. The bike is a 2105 model, in excellent condition and low milage as advertised. My friend brought it round to fit some pedals and give it a check. It has a 15mm TA Reba on front and I could not remove the front wheel. Prior attempts by someone else had damaged the cup on the RS Maxle. the Maxle seemed to be seized in the hub or left front fork leg. It would partially unscrew from the right leg but then went tight and would not come out of the left leg.. A firm tap with a soft mallet got it freed up and the cause became clear: The wheel bearings are not stainless steel, there is no axle in this hub as the Maxle does that duty and the wheel bearing inner races had rusted onto the Maxle. There was no grease anywhere to be seen. So I squirted the inside of the hub with grease and liberally greased the Maxle as well. At a later stage when I get a bit more time with the bike I am going to strip those cheap bearings out and put something decent in. Since there was only rust in there and no dirt I'm guessing the water got in when the bike was transported on a carrier in the rain or during washing. If you have one of these bikes be warned. There are no o rings or seals in the hub to prevent water gaining access to the axle so you are advised to use liberal amounts of grease and avoid submerging the axle in water. Also avoid spraying water from a hose when washing it. This is going to need care for the life of the bike/hub.

Hi guys, So I'm new to this forum and new to Mountain Biking in general. I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me a bit of advice regarding the purchase of my first proper mtb. Quick history: Been to a few cycle shops and was most impressed by Complete Cyclist in Bedfordview- they invited me to the Modderfontein Nature Reserve this morning to try out some bikes (Specialized Epic Comp and Specialized Camber Comp). I rode both bikes and most certainly preferred the Camber Comp. Having said this, I realise that the bike which I rode was not the exact same bike which they've offered me- in fact it had slightly better components (Shimano Gears with Internal Cable Routing) than what they've offered me a deal on which is the Camber FSR Comp 29 - 2015 Model for R29 000. Is this a decent bike to start out with? When I usually make such purchases, I like to get something that's quite decent and something that I won't need to change for the next few years (considering that I'm keen to do casual riding at this stage). I'm also not sure on the price that they've offered me or if I should consider the 2016 model which is going for +- R33 000. Having said this, their service has been excellent and it's the type of store which I'd like to build a relationship with cos I know that they'll take care of me.
