  1. I have a '22 model that hasn't had much off-road action and has been serviced by Durbanville cycles since I purchased the bike. It's always had some chain slack when in the small rear gear (it's a 1 x 12 L-Twoo set up) and if you're pedalling at high RPMs and stop pedalling, the chain lunges forward then resets itself (tested when on a bike service frame too) 2nd issue is that when you push down on the pedal after coasting it doesn't engage the rear wheel/power immediately. There's a slight lag before the power is engaged. Any ideas on what is happening? I'm in the NL 🇳🇱 now so I can't take back to DVC 🙄
  2. Good day all, I have a Chris King ISO rear hub, but it seems like the freehub’s splines have been damaged by the previous owner (the last cog does not seat and just continuously spins). So please, if anyone has a freehub body or know where I can get one, just let me know. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated!
  3. I have a customer with a Race Face hub from a 2014 Lapierre Zesty AM 427. I think it’s the Aeffect hub, but I’m not 100% sure. The pawls are worn down, and causing some slipping as they engage. So, I’d like to replace the pawls or the whole freehub if necessary. However, I’m having difficulty tracking down the part. All the listed Race Face freehub bodies I can find on various sites are for newer, different hubs. Silverfish in the UK told me that the Easton X5 freehub body would fit. Is there anyone who can confirm whether this is true or not? Or any recommended sources of information to check specs? Here are some images of the hub in question:
  4. Hello. I have a friend who easton freehub is bit toast. Now give no current agents and that easton part normal expensive i was wondering if any other brands freehub is compatible. The some of the novatec freehub looks very very similar if not he same. Have anyone tried novatec freehub in easton M1 hub?
  5. Need some advice I noticed quite a bit of play on my road bike' cassette on the inner side of the wheel I purchased a new Freehub and when fitted, there is still some play. The play is slightly less than on the old Freehub. As per my knowledge their should be no play or it should be small enough that it is almost un-noticed. Anyone had a similar experience? I took it to a LBS but I think it too technical for them!! I have 2 option: Replace hub as rest of wheel is still in good orderFind a mechanical engineering firm that make me a new bushAny advice appreciated?
  6. Need a XD driver (11speed freehub body) for an American Classic wheelset. Come now, peeps...Help a brother out.
  7. Has anyone (aka home mechanics) found a suitable replacement for freehub grease or is the genuine stuff necessary? Basically Im closer to a Midas that to my local bike shop.
  8. Hi Gents I would just like to know if I can replace a Crank Brothers freehub body with a Shimano/SRAM one. They seem the same, but I dont know if they have different lengths and may cause fouling with the hub or frame. The freebody will be fitted to a 10 speed SRAM cassette, which I've heard is 1mm -1.5mm longer than a Shimano cassette. Thanks
  9. Hi... I have a Bontrager RXL 29" rear wheelset, and I am looking for a replacement freehub. The only markings I can see on the freehub is "2010 I.F". How do I determine the exact model of freehub to get, and where would I be able to buy it? The bike is a 2011(I think) Trek Superfly 100 FS 29" Carbon. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. DC
