  1. The 3rd and Queen stage of the Circuit la Sarthe saw a very active MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung team with Louis Meintjes and Merhawi Kudus both attacking the peloton during the course of the day. The stage would be taken out by Manuele Boaro (Tinkoff-Saxo) with Pierre Rolland (Europcar) and Jonothan Hivert (Bretagne Seche) in 2nd and 3rd. Click here to view the article

  3. The Giro del Trentino reached its conclusion today after the final stage saw the victory being decided by the breakaway. Paolo Tiralongo (Astana) was the rider coming out on top with David Arroyo (Caja Rural) in 2nd and Fabio Duarte (Colombia) in 3rd. Click here to view the article

  6. The Circuit Cycliste Sarthe is a UCI 2.1 4 day, 5 stage cycle race in France. The race starts on Tuesday 7 April and Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung are happy to be starting this French stage race, our first tour on French soil this year. Click here to view the article

None other than South African president Jacob Zuma will be firing the start gun to signal the start of what is to be an iconic example of what can be achieved through unity in memory of Nelson Mandela.   8. With a bright and early start, the South African time trial championships took place around the Mbombela Stadium streets this morning. Defending champion Daryl Impey (Orica-Greenedge) was successfully able to defend his title from last year, clocking the fastest time of 53'23" on the day. Click here to view the article

  12. Louis Meintjes took his first European win today after a brave solo that also earned him the overall victory at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.   13. The Queen stage of the Tour of Oman saw a great battle on Green Mountain with Rafael Valls (Lampre – Merida) taking an impressive win ahead of Tejay van Gaarderen (BMC Racing) and Alejandro Valverde (Movistar). Click here to view the article
  14. The Tour of Oman reached its conclusion today after the 6th and final stage. The final 133.5km challenge saw the early escape of the day decide the stage with Matthias Brändle out-sprinting his breakaway companions. Iljo Keisse (Etixx Quickstep) was 2nd and Jef Van Meirhaeghe (Topsport Vlaanderen) 3rd. The peloton came home just over a minute later in the sprint for 5th. Click here to view the article
  15. The final stage of the Circuit la Sarthe ended with the expected bunch sprint. There were also no surprises when it was Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) who crossed the line first ahead of Aleksei Tsatevich (Katusha) and Samuel Dumoulin (AG2R La Mondiale). The overall victory would go to Ramunas Navardauskas (Cannondale-Garmin) after he won the necessary bonus seconds to leap frog from 3rd to 1st. Click here to view the article

Cycling South Africa has great pleasure in announcing that Daryl Impey and Louis Meintjes have been selected for Team South Africa to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in August. South Africa’s Olympic governing body, SASCOC (South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee) announced the first names of the initial squad of 24 athletes on Wednesday.
