  1. I bought a pair of Olympic Tread MTB Shoes at a sale from Chris Willemse Cycles a year or two ago. (I think it was their last pair and they do not stock it anymore). A few weeks ago I noticed one of the laces of the Atop system was almost chafed through. I could not find any replacement lace anywhere on Google - so I sent a enquiry email to the manufacturers in Taiwan (that was 23 April 2019). I received an email the same day - they will see who the suppliers in SA are and if they can sort out the problem. On 02 May I received an email from Gordon Gassert, product development manager from Bolton Footware in Elsies River, asking for my address so they can send me a replacement system. A few minutes ago, RAM Couriers delivered a complete set, right and left, including the lace, gear & knob (if that is what is what it is called) and the spanner to do the job. A quick Youtube video on replacing it and all done! Not often one gets service like that anymore! All credit to Atop Taiwan and Bolton Footware SA.
  2. I'm looking for recommendations for a pair of super grippy and good quality shoes to be used for trail/enduro mountain biking in conjunction with flat pedals! Five Ten seem to be the gold standard, but sadly are no longer available in SA it seems. My budget is ideally R1500+-
  3. After 5 years in development, Five Ten's Kestrel SPD clipless shoe is almost ready to hit the trails. The Kestrel signals a new direction for Five Ten and sees them taking a direct stab at the enduro and trail riding market. Click here to view the article
  4. Notably one piece of equipment that is very rarely reviewed on Bike Hub seems to be shoes. Given the opportunity to muck about with a pair of Fizik M3B mountain bike shoes, I was ready to get ankle deep into the task. Click here to view the article
  5. Hi everyone. I would really appreciate some advice regarding mtb shoes for flat pedals. I recently purchased a pair of Shimano Saint pedals , which are really nice. the trouble is finding good shoes. I know the hype around the 5/10`s are maybe justified , but at the price , a little out of reach for a single dad. Can anyone recommend an alternative local brand of shoes that will at least serve me decently. thanks.
  6. Where can i please buy Giro Terraduro MTB shoes in Gauteng?
