Prescribed Drugs and Fun Rides/Races

I am seeking some advice.I did try and search forums and came up short. I have been prescribed by a doctor a drug that is on WADA's banned list. I am riding a few fun rides/races. I am a proper backmark. Do I need to notify organisers,just wing it or what as are the procedures? Any input will be appreciated,thank you.
