  1. Hi Hubbers, Seeing that there are quite a few Zwifters here, I thought a dedicated tour thread would be cool. The tour kicked off today, with stage 1. Nothing too serious, a lekker warmup to what's to come. Will probably ride at around 6pm tonight, perhaps it will be cool to have some Hubbers ride together on some of the stages. Zwiftinsider.com has some low-down on the stages to come. https://zwiftinsider.com/tour-of-watopia-2019/ Ride on!
  2. I enjoyed the power cycling concept at the Pierre van Ryneveldt Power Cycling studio. But we have moved to the Moot and I work in Lynnwood so PvR is way out of my way. Do you guys know of any other studios in Pretoria that does Power training classes? Or is my only other option to join a Virgin Active and use their Wattbikes?
  3. GC, Strava, Golden Cheetah, WKO, Trainingpeaks, so may to choose from. Thoughts and opinions please!
  4. Hi Hubbers! To those of you who have been blessed with ownership of the wonderful Edge 520, have you noticed that a little screen pops up after your workout, stating the suggested recovery time before the next ride/training session? This morning I had quite an intense WO on the IDT, and it told me to recover for 72 hours , which isn't going to happen . So, who relies on this suggestion that the little machine spits out? Is the rest period based solely on your avg HR throughout the workout/ride, or what other things play a part?
  5. Last month we discussed the ins and outs of training with a powermeter and briefly touched on the analysis of training data. This month we will discuss how a powermeter can ensure that your training is actually paying dividends. Click here to view the article
  6. I would like to hear what your opinions are regarding power meters for MTB - better on the bike or on an indoor trainer? I want to do the power training "thing" to see what all the hype is all about. I think it is all just phase that everyone is going through, I think next we will probably be using brain power meters to do training on I am thinking of buying a power meter, I like the Powertap MTB Hub. Is it really worth it? And how important is it to have the power meter during a race? Would it be ok to train with the wheel and when you do a race put on your racing wheels? I was just thinking because many people doing Cadence Cycling classes or use Watt Bikes but can't afford power meters for the bicycle, they can't see their power reading during a race. What other decent power meters really work for MTB?
  7. Has anyone used this hub in their wheelset? What is the quality of this hub like? If the wheel has been built up how much of a degreade is it when compared to the Mavic Crossmax SL wheeelset? Is it a worth while to get the hub?
