  1. Last week I spent a lot of time trying to get information about riding on the Zachariashoek Trails near Franschhoek. I found very little. Over the weekend I ventured out that way and decided not to hit the Matoppie Trail, but rather venture into this lost corner... ...and lost it is, but in a good way. The riding was tough. Tracks are rutted and you can't do the loop anymore because of a major wash away after the fires and the resulting erosion. But, I spotted baboon and Klipsringer up on the top of the plateau. The track I was on disappeared further up the mountain. The views are amazing and with "no service" you feel truly out there... Checkout all the photos here...
