  1. “After months of negotiation and preparation we have finally reached our dream.” said Saadiq Mathews – chief orchestrator of this phenomenal achievement. And what is that achievement you may ask. Well … On the 2 March to the 6 March is the Cape Rouleur 2014 and we are very proud to announce that we have managed to secure a team entry into this prestigious event. Cape Town Giants formed a partnership with other development clubs - Mohamedia Cycling Club, Heinz Park Cycling Club and VC Metals and fielded the best young talent that we have. The aim of the partnership was to showcase to the international cycling community that we have the talent and the passion to compete on the world stage. The Cape Rouleur is a multi stage endurance road event that covers 600km and almost 6,000m + of climbing. It is a pro style event that has rolling road closures and full technical, medical, logistic and pro crew support. Cape Rouleur riders also get the opportunity to gain seeded entry to the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, the world's largest individually timed cycle race followed by VIP hospitality. This gives participants a full week of cycling, comprising of a prologue, three stages of the Cape Rouleur, a 112km Festival ride into Cape Town escorted in style by the City traffic police. So on Sunday, Nabigh Davids, Kerwin Herbert, Ashley Sauls and Bradwin Daniels under the management of Nizaar Davids took the long journey to Franshoek to register and to partake in the Prologue and represent the local cycling community.
