  1. On 16 December 2014 I broke my left collarbone for the third time. Surgeon put a plate in the same day. I had a follow up with him the other day, and he is happy with the recovery, and has now suggested to take the plate out. His reasoning is that if I fall with the plate in I could potentially do more damage, or even if that doesn't happen, I could have the plate break off from the screws in a few years. I've seen a couple comments in the last while around here where most people say they leave them in. Is this simply a scare tactic to get me (or my medical aid) to pay up to have it out? Should I take it out or leave it in? The plate does not bother me at all.
