  1. Hi all. Does anyone know if Velverde is open early hours on the weekend for parking? If not, any other recommendations for parking along the cradle loop? Looking at getting going 05:30. Cheers
  2. Hi Everyone, Me and a few of my mates are planning a 100km MTB ride from the ground cafe in Muldersdrift around Hartebeespoort dam and back. The estimated route that I got from Garmin suggested that this will be roughly 100km's, but unfortunately, with my limited knowledge and the common safety factors one needs to be 100% certain before embarking on such a journey. Have any of you done a ride in recent months to and from harties and the cradle, and what routes did you use? Garmins suggested route link below https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/83099336 Thank you so much for you assistance in advance. Emile
  3. Hi Everyone, some of you know me, I am Joaquin Valverde, Owner of Valverde Eco Hotel and also a keen Cyclist and triathlete. We have been closed for two months and now (once we move to level 3 of the lockdown) we are ready to reopen our parking for cyclists, runners, etc to park and exercise. For starters, during the week it will only be "park and ride" and on weekends, we will do take away cappuccinos, cold drinks, muffins, egg and bacon rolls and boerewors rolls. We are not allowed to open the restaurant to sit down as yet. if the demand call for it, then we will also do coffees, etc during the week. We will be charging the usual R20 for parking (from Monday to Sunday) but we will have two options: 1. Usual voucher where you can redeem for a drink, etc at the restaurant. 2. A contribution voucher to help us carry some of the fixed costs like security, maintenance, etc. I personally thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support over the years and hope to see you personally there in the coming weeks. I will be behind the coffee machine welcoming you and making coffee for everyone in the coming weeks. We have taken a huge knock but we will get out of this stronger and better than ever. Safe cycling everyone!
