  1. Hi everyone. I recently got a Kona Hoss new, but the Hayes Sole brakes are completely soft, almost have to depress the brake lever completely to get any braking power. Is this simply because these brakes are dreadful, or is there something I can do to improve their performance? It is terrible to have a great new bike and not be able to ride it fast because I can't stop it fast. Thanks for any ideas!
