  1. In a bold move, it has been decided that KZNMTB will split for 2018, separating KZNGRAVITY into a standalone commission that will report directly to CyclingKZN.   8. The first event is to be held on 12 February 2017, at St Ives. The venue has been used in the series for the last two years and located close to Lion's River in the KZN Midlands. A new format is being adopted for the KZN DH & Enduro series, where by both races will be held on Sunday, giving participants the whole of Saturday to familiarize themselves with the stages and the DH track. We'll have to wait and see how the new format pans out... Hope to see you all there! Tiaan Odendaal and Kathryn Fourie made it a double when they claimed the fastest times of the day in the Men and Women’s classes at the 2016 KZNMTB DOWNHILL Championships – presented by Greg Minnaar Cycles that was held at Cascades MTB Park in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday 3 July. The sublime trail network and heavenly singletracks that are synonymous with mountain biking in the Howick and Karkloof areas will play host to the third rounds of the 2016 KZNMTB Provincial Enduro and Downhill Series – presented by Greg Minnaar Cycles, on Saturday 21 May and Sunday 22 May respectively.
