  1. I hope my query is not too difficult for the Hub's extraordinary Specialists out there. I have been riding for many years and as such I was exposed to the different cycling related standards as it developed over the years. I started riding when the 15mm nuts held everything together, but as I grew older and able, I was exposed to and used the QR system. Today I own a bike with the Maxle 15mm in front and a QR at the back. The QR at the back irritates the heebee jeebees out of me. The QR can not hold the axle in place and I have to constantly adjust the brake for clearance. It is time to fix this! The big question then is.....is it possible to upgrade to a 12mm system if the bike frame (carbon) is a 9mm QR? O and for the clever ones, no I do not want to buy a new bike thank you!
  2. Hi folks, Anyone know where I can get 173mm rear skewer? It's for a scott spark 970 2018, which uses a longer than normal rear skewer. The bike shop that sold me this bike can't seem to get this part for me Any help would be highly appreciated.
  3. http://www.tririg.com/articles/2013_05_Skewer_Shootout/650/2013_05_Skewer_Shootout_2.jpg Hey guys, Anyone have any experience with bolt on skewers for road bike? They make sense from a security perspective and I always have my allen keys with me when i ride so it's not like the would leave me stranded or anything. I'm assuming that when you forgo the whole QR lever you save a bit of weight as well. Not one to advocate weight saving over safety, anyone have any opinions?
  4. Hi All. I'm thinking of converting my Santa Cruz Tallboy to thru axle at the back. it is currently quick release. Is there a conversion kit that you have to buy and where do you get it? Thanks, Alex
