Have read, responded to and bought from a few people on the Hub over the years.

Here's my take on what sellers and buyers say in ad's, and the real meaning behind it:

BRAND NEW - only ridden it for 200-300 kms

BRAND NEW IN BOX - unwrapped everything from packaging, built up bike and had to strip everything, put everthing back in packaging and sell everything in a hurry, because my wife went ballistic/I bumped the car and cant afford the insurance excess!

EXCELLENT CONDITION - good condition

GOOD CONDITION - fair condition

FAIR CONDITION - pretty k@k and banged up

WELL USED - f*cked (SORRY SLOWBEE)

GARAGE CLEAROUT - the Missus is giving you hell about all the k@k lying around.

TO SWOP - I was stupid and impulsive and bought something without thinking. Now I'm gonna lose bucks by selling, so I am trying to sucker you into giving me your item that fits/is better for my impulse purchase.

DONE ABOUT 600 KMS - easily double that, then factor in it hardly ever got any lube or was ever cleaned properly.

MY WIFE'S BIKE - I can get away with selling this banged up and scratched bike with k@k components and say it was my wife's, as NO SELF RESPECTING HUBBER would treat his equipment this way. Look out, bargain's can be found here(RARELY)

NEGOTIABLE - desperate/need money for nappies.

NOT NEGOTIABLE - desperate/need money for nappies.

BUYER PAYS POSTAGE - I'm already as low as I can go, otherwise I may as well keep it/miser.

BUYER TO COLLECT - rigtingbedonerd.

ENTRY LEVEL BIKE WANTED FOR BEGINNER - Cheapskate

ENTRY LEVEL BIKE FOR SALE - DAMMIT, this sport is addictive to a tech-junkie, WHY was I such a cheapskate???

CYCLING SHOES FOR SALE - they stink so bad, my wife is filing for divorce if I dont sell them by the end of the week!

CYCLING KIT FOR SALE - I did no training this winter, now nothing fits.

UNBRANDED CARBON PRODUCTS - no self respecting manufacturer would put their decals on these Chinko factory rejects.

ADVICE NEEDED - I am a dumbass.

NOT CYCLING RELATED - I cant sell my sh*t in the appropriate forums like Junkmail/Gumtree/Outdoorphoto etc, so let me see if I can find a sucker here.

ACCESORIES FOR SALE - random cr@p.

PRICE DROP - so Hubbers aren't suckers after all!

BUMP - Please by my **** at this inflated price, I need money to pay for my Epic/Sani2C etc entry.

PRO TOUR TEAM KITS FOR SALE - cheap and cr@p quality knock-offs I picked up in Thailand on my 7 day budget package holiday(with free arrival cocktail)thinking I was going to quit my suck-job in IT and become the next Andrew Mclean with a chain of cycling stores (or at the very least cover the costs for my holiday!

TYRES FOR SALE - bought the wrong size(on sale...)

HEART RATE MONITOR FOR SALE - sucker tech junkie here, please buy my old outdated crap, my buddies are laughing at me! Oh and You're welcome to the old sweaty and salt encrusted strap too!
