Road bike for IM half...

Hi all,

 

I'm new to the forum and in Cape Town. Up until now I've been strictly a MTB only guy, but my boet has twisted my arm to ride the bike leg of the Team IM in East London in January. Any suggestions on what a decent bike would be for around R8k (used or new)?

Bump....I'm looking at a Merida 903...any info on this bike?
