through axle question

I have a silverback storm 1 and I see there is a little bit of play on the front wheel . When I hold the steering bar and move the wheel from side to side there is about 2mm of play .Shoudl it not be tight?

 

I checked the spacers between the hub and the fork is seated correct. The axle is hand tightened to the max .No tool to make it tighter . Is this normal?

Same bike here I get this if I don`t turn the axle in tight enough. With the qr lever still open make sure you tighten the axle enough.

shucks I feel a bit like an idiot checked it out the lever falls back into the opening so that it can be tightened so its fine now .

 

I could not understand how to tighten the bloody thing with my hands its seemend impossible

Had the same issue with slight play, also turned out the through axle was not turned tight enough.
