Come see Charl Crous the 2012 SA Olympic participant , in action, he will be swimming the Lake Eland Mile, join us for the Lake Eland Mile Open water swim on the 4th of November 2012, held at Lake Eland Game Reserve, approximately 40min inland from Port shepstone on the N2 harding and via Oribi Gorge road. A beautifull setting where you will few a number of wildlife en route down to the Lake inside the reserve, this event is in its 6th year of running, it used to be called the Speck Pumps Lake Eland 1000 but due to high demand, the event was re-branded to the Lake Eland Mile incorporating Mile events instead of the 1000m, from 2012 onwards. Events include 500m x2 / Mile events x2 / 500m team events and a 3000m SA Qualifying event. The event is overseen by Swim SA Officials and Tower 13 Lifeguars, SAP Divers and Med- Evac emergency medical personnel and ambulance is present at the event. Medals are awarded to all swimmers who finish their races and category winners will walk away with prizemoney and a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal. The Event opens at 8am and prizegiving should be completed by 5pm.

 

LATE ENTRIES OPENED ON 16 OCTOBER AND WILL REMAIN OPEN TILL THE DAY OF THE EVENT AND RATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

 

R200 - EVENT ENTRY - NO TOWEL

 

R250 - EVENT ENTRY - WITH TOWEL

 

R80 - PER SWIMMER IN TEAM ENTRY
