Assos Repair

HI Guys

 

Has anyone had experience of the Assos repair service. I have holes in two sets of bibs and before I try and get them stitched locally I was wondering if anyone had tried the serivice.

 

Is so what sort of turn around time did you have?

According to this website you must just take it back to your LBS and they will send it in.

They also say that the repair is normally free of charge , but don't mention turnaround time

 

but I see the return address is Switzerland and google doesn't get one in SA

Its a painful exercise. I sent in a gilet and got a replacement 3.5 months later. I would strongly suggest getting the work done locally.

It's well worth the wait if you have enough shorts to go buy.

That's part of the value you pay for.

Can anyone prove name and contact details of local suppliers that will do the repairs

For the price of Assos, I would have expected them never to fail. And be bullerproof.

I have 5 pairs of the S5 Mile, or 100miler bibs, 2 of which are starting to shine through. Maybe from stretching, I don't know. Do you think they will repair those?

The regiment said I should ask as the 1000 of us can't afford another one...

Nah, that's normal wear 'n tear, Schwynn.

Not product failure.

 

If you get 3 years of consistent use in an Assos bibs, then it's a good life.

I must add that I lived in those things for 3 years. Did between 70 and 100k's every day for that period and they were washed very day. So no complaints here.
