Where are all the FiveTens hiding?

+1 for Patches comment, the stealth rubber sole is brilliant.

 

I have the FiveTen Hellcats and ride either with Crank Bros 50/50 or FUNN pedals and they are awesome, no chance of me ever going back to cleats.

 

Any specific reason you chose the Hellcats to use with flat pedals? Is it to offer you the option to cleat in if you ever want to?

 

I ask because I have found that altough my FiveTen SPDs (Maltese Falcons) work pretty well on flat pedals, the sole feels a little too stiff, and I find my FiveTen flats (Red Barrons and Sam Hills) are more comfy and grip better on flats because the sole isn't too rigit.

 

So yeah, just wondering?!

Hehe, I was looking at these at tekkie town the other day. How stiff is the sole on this shoe?

 

 

 

I thought I would get nailed with import duties... did you pay any duties?

Also interested to know how stiff the soles are on those Kustoms

 

the sole rigidity is very good, the rubber is also not too hard so it has a decent bit of give to help the pins sink in a bit, im pretty sure fivetens are amazing but its also a bit of a ripoff , i can go through 6 pairs of kustoms to make up for a pair of fivetens so far 20 rides in and not a issue,

 

if you starting out with flats then definately start with kramers ... but if youve had fivetens its probably safe to youll feel something missing by downgrading..
