I rode past there just after it happened and saw his body covered up and the bike was badly mangled, was a SAP van there and white bakkie.

 

Very sad.

Bike was not badly mangled at all... only visible damage was that the seatpost had been broken off. Back wheel was not even buckled and he was hit from behind. Police were on the scene very quickly... even before tow trucks!
