Garmin 310XT with an iPad

Hi Guys

 

Does anyone know about using an iPad to down/upload training data from a Garmin 310XT?

 

I've looked online and it seems possible with a special "fitness dongle" from a company called "Wahoo".

Anyone used this or know where you can buy them in SA?

That will not give you the ability to upload from the 319xt.

 

That dongle plugs into the iPad or iPhone and then connects to a ant+ cadence sensor or hr strap for REALTIME figure.

 

I makes your iPad iPhone the same as your 310xt. But I think you want to know if you can upload from 310xt to a site like Garmin connect ?

I want to basically get the info off my 310, onto the iPad and then submit the data to the Training Peaks website.

 

From waht i can gather online, it seems that you can use the dongle as a kind of wireless transmitter, like the ANT+ stick that comes with the watch, to get the data onto the iPad to then upload. But i think you need to go through a Wahoo fitness app or something first and then upload to Training peaks... An extra step but at least it should work..?

I could be mistaken though.
