I have just experienced the worst service and attitude in a bike shop over my 25 years of cycling. I ordered a fork for my bike two weeks ago. The only way I managed to find out if the fork had arrived at the shop was by messaging a casual who helps out on a Saturday, no one who works there full time had the courtesy to contact me and arrange for the fork to be fitted on its arrival. On taking my bike in yesterday I was told I could either collect it the same afternoon or this morning. I contacted them yesterday afternoon and suggested that I would collect this morning as that would allow for the carbon steerer to be measured and cut correctly. After standing around for close on half an hour this morning a mechanic was finally allocated the task of completing the installation. After cutting the fork, they discovered that they don't have the correct top cap and bolt as well as rose that is required for a carbon steerer. The "cherry on top" though is the audacity of the shop assistant who then comments that " if the fork was cut yesterday afternoon, they would have discovered that the parts were missing". How that bears any relevance is astounding and one would think that that would have been checked on opening the package the day before. As a result the bike has had to be left there for who knows how long it is going to take to get resolved and I suspect I'm going to have to rely on communication from the casual assistant to be told when complete. As mentioned previously on this forum, epic fail Dunkeld Cycles! In closing, I have taken note of your message in terms of resolution prior to posting, however nobody answers the telephone at the shop and nobody from their management team is available either.

Just a quick update on my post. I'm pleased to say that all was resolved amicably this morning. I have collected my bike and everything has been fitted according to spec. Thank-you Marc for resolving my issue quickly
