Electronic Guru to Repair Tacx Brake/motor needed

Does anyone know of a boffin in the Johannesburg area that would be able to have a look at the Brake/motor on my Fortius trainer.

 

I bought it 2^nd hand a month ago and it just died on me midsession - No power.  She is dead Jim.

 

Tacx support have not been able to diagnose or help via the log files.  Coolheat can replace the units but the cost if both are gone is probably around R. 8000 so just not worth it.

 

So my last resort, I think is to find someone who can open them up and fiddle.

 

Any suggestions?
