Maj Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Hi everyone I have original Ultegra 9x3 shifters on my '98 road bike, my problem is that the small paddle on my right shifter (down-shifting on rear derailleur) is quite loose and wobbly. It still works fine, there's just a lot of play on it, and it rattles around in a rather annoying fashion. Surely there must be some way of tightening it?
kenj Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Have a look at the small lever there is screw it is either lose or has fallen out to get to it you must shift the small lever to the right and hold it there you should see it if it not there replace it
Malpiet Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Remove the sti cap, below it will be a hex nut or star screw with a washer on it, check if that has maybe not loosened itself over time. be careful not to remove it else you will be in trouble. If that doesnt work the lever is worn out and nothing can be done to it.
