The founder & owner of Delheim, Spatz Sperling turns 85 on this day. The name Sperling means Swallow, so join the celebration with a Trail Run on these beautiful Simonsberg trails in the Simonsberg Conservancy.

The events on this farm normally sell out fast, so make sure you pre-enter this winter one!

 

VENUE: Delheim Wine Estate, on the R44 just outside Stellenbosch

REGISTRATION: Sunday, 19 July at Delheim from 07h45 at Delheim

DISTANCES & START TIMES: 13km: 09H15 & 8km: 09H30

ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS: Both the 8km option and the 13km route have some good climbing and singletrack sections. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the fantastic trails in the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy with magnificent views!

 

GENERAL INFO: There will be a refreshment station on both routes (with powerade, fruit & nuts/jellys) and Coke at the finish. There will be coffee & muffins for sale in the morning with breakfast options served until 11h30. Book your lunch at the restaurant and enjoy the spring day in the Stellenbosch winelands. All finishers receive a medal! Prizes to be won from Falke socks, Civvio watches and some Delheim wines at the lucky draw!

 

COST: Pre entries (pre entry closing date 14 July)

8km – R90 & 13km – R105

 

Late entries (if available at registration):

8km – R100 & 13km – R120

 

AMARIDER TRAIL TAG: Runners will be timed with an Amarider Trail Tag and timing data will be streamed live on www.trailtag.coza . If you have a Trail Tag from previous events please bring it along. No Tag = No Time

 

Runners have the option of renting a temporary Amarider Trail tag at R20 and will be given to you at registration with your racenumber. The temporary tag will be taken off at the finish line. If you’d like to buy a permanent one to be used at all Dirtopia events, it will be R100.
