Road bike route from Midrand to Delta Park

Hello everyone!

 

I've been trying to find out a safe and easy road (with less climbs) from Midrand (Halfway House) to Delta Park for weekend rides on a road bike but so far to no avail :( I'm new to South Africa and absolutely new to riding a road bike which makes it even more difficult.. Strava suggests taking the spruit.. but I'm afraid it's for a mountain bike only..

Could someone please suggest any nice routes?
