Naas Vermaak Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Is the 30km route different from last year?Both the 30km & 60km have a slight change in the last 4 km in that they don't take you all the way to town but via beautiful singetrack a shortcut will take you directly to the finish. Some other lekke singletrack has also been build - but it's 90% the same LOVELY & BEAUTIFUL route as last year!

Slanghoek Louis Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Wow what nice and well balanced event! Did not look around to enjoy the scenery. 600 m for 28 km and 1400 m for 55 km. We shall be back next year for sure. Well marked and cleaned and enough marshalls and sharing parts with runners meant plenty of water/coke stations! Runners was a pleasure on the route as organisers had their thinking caps on! Joining and departing and joining again and again was not effort. Smooth ! Congrats to Lize with her achievement. Thank you Naas for a great event! ps: Lucky draw was a great hit with everybody. Seldom so many waiting! Louis

Also a lot of road surfaces had been scrapped and paths had been brush cut. The marking was excellent. Much appreciated. Thanks for a great event. Ek kon sien daar was baie moeite met die roete gedoen en dit is 'n pragtige roete. Dit was moeilik sonder om frustrerende te wees vir 'n weekend-warrior soos ek. Die roete was ook goed gemerk gewees. Als en als was dit vir my die moeite werk om die resies te kom bywoon vanuit die Kaap - ek het 'n lekker tyd gehad. Dit was ook verfrissend 'n billike inskrywingsfooi te betaal. Dit is ook frustrerend dat die organiseerdes resiese begin prys sodat 'n mens mooi moet begin dink of jy wil deelneem. Baie geluk. Die 2015 Patatfees Roete is een van die beste bergfiets roetes van ek al gedoen het. Die paaie is interessant en daar is iets van als. Van pragtige fynbos tot diep bospaaie. Van uitdagende enkelspoor bergtop klimme tot hoë-spoed afdraad paaie. Die roetes was uitstekend gemerk. Ek het nooit getwyfel oor rigting nie. Die waterpunte was baie goed met ‘n groot verskeidenheid met dadelballe, vleishappies, piesangs, coke en water. Die dag was ‘n groot sukses. Pedal Power sal jaloers wees op so ‘n juweel! Well done! 'n Vriendin van my het julle MTB race die naweek by die Napier fees gery en sy se dit was 'n great race. Ons het ook al die afgelope 3 jaar 'n MTB race hier by ons in Riversdale, maar ons het dringend nodig dat hy groei anders gaan hy uitsterf. En soos iemand nou die dag gese het, hier is soveel ongetapte weivelde in ons area. Ek wil baie nederig vra of jy enige raad/hulp kan verleen, al is dit net om ons jou mense van ons race te vertel.
