Good deal: 2014 Silverback Sola 4?

Hello.

 

Short version, n+1.

 

Long version, currently have jump bike and #enduro bike but been looking out for a bike more suited for longer distance road and XC rides. Would like to do the Argus again next year and a few rides around the peninsula.

 

Found what I think is quite a good deal on a 2014 Silverback Sola 4, less than a year old ridden only a couple times in great condition for R5k which seems like a bargain to me.

 

New price seems to be around R8k to R9k for the 2015 model.

Not the highest spec bike in the world but I think it will be fine for my intended use. My budget was initially higher (was looking out for Alu Flash 29) but think this just might be sufficient and save a bit of cash.

No better bike spec wise for 8K in SA unless obviously you go second hand. But if u dont go second hand and want to spend 8K then sola4 is for sure the one.

Thanks. Yeah I am looking 2nd hand, hence the R5k asking price. R5k doesnt get much at all these days but this seems like a decent deal for a practically brand new bike.

 

Figure I can just sell it again if I am unhappy but I dont think I will.

Yeah should be more than decent enough. Where you'll get your money's worth is in the frame. Silverback put a lot of effort in to provide a frame that'll have great handling and lots of speed.
