20 Degree South Run

Hi guys

Just thought I'd let you all know about a challenge that a friend of mine is doing, personally, I think he's mad. Darren, Jon and Darren's son, Giles, are going to be running along (as much as possible) the 20 degree south line of latitude from the west coast of Africa (northern Namibia) to the East coast of Africa in Mozambique.

The journey is approximately 3 500 km and they are aiming to do around about a marathon a day, with a rest day every 7 days.

They are doing this run to create awareness for elephants which have been affected in Southern Africa as well as raising money for some very worthy causes along the way and to inspire people that they can achieve whatever the mind can conceive.

Go have a look at the website http://20degreessouthrun.co.za/ for more info and if any of you feel it in your hearts to donate to this, please follow the links.

The website will have a tracker so we will be able to track them on their journey across 5 countries of our amazing continent.

Cheers
