NordicElf Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I have a 2001 Trek Wsd 2300 with 650c wheels, aluminium, ultegra. I rode it for a few years back then but it's still in good nick. Recently dusted it off and am riding regularly again. I have bike envy, so many nice and shiny bikes and the tech is better. I thought I would buy myself a new bike. I'm really short 151cm. You can't make a bike I can fit and still have good handling with 700c. So my options are custom or upgrade my current bike. I want to know if it's worth upgrading a nearly 15 year old frame. I also have to rebuild the rear wheel to fit an 11 speed freehub. Am I just wasting my money? Any other considerations? Appreciate any thoughts.
