The ever popular Bestmed Satellite Classic festival of cycling takes place in the vicinity of Hartbeespoort Dam in Gauteng on October 17 and 18.

 

This event caters for both road and mountain bike fans, starting with the Bestmed Satellite Road Classic on the Saturday and continuing with the Bestmed Satellite MTB Classic on the Sunday.

 

The line-up of road races comprises the 106km feature race and 80km option – both of which are premier seeding events for the Cape Town Cycle Tour – as well as a 60km route.

 

Mountain bikers can choose between the 40km feature race and the 20km event.

 

Participants will also be riding for a good cause as R10 for every entry received will be donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa.
