Eggbeater 1 -re-build

Hi All,

I had to install a re-build kit as I got water in one of the pedals. I bought the re-build components and commenced to remove the old nylon bushings etc. Somehow when looked down the open shaft I still saw another bushing, which I duly removed with effort. I broke in half when it came out.

In my stupidity I realised after studying the re-build kit, that that was not part of the re-build kit. It looks more like some or other spacer for the main bearing. Any case, I tried to put it back as nicely as I could and put the bearing in, hoping it would last. It did about 250-300k's and gave way during this riding. Question, can one get hold of ths spacer/bushing? Would it be cost effective to get one made? Have some of the other Hubbers experienced this ?

Regards

Werner
