Riding in groups

Tuesday afternoon I decided to take a drive to Durban and join a couple mates for a ride around the circuit...it was good fun...I had so much fun I did it again last night...

wow my new bike is really an awesome ride...now I know why you pay so much for the Di2 system...going from a 3x9 to a 2x11

Thanks to the group who I have been following...Hopefully in the near future I will be able to carry the bunch for a segment or 2...been paying attention to hand signals and just watching how the group response to certain incidents...I have stayed a bit back from the group because it is my first time riding in a group at that kind of speed...would hate to bump someone by mistake.

I didn't realize that the circuit is a race track on Tuesdays and Thursday's and you have ride in single file...I am just out having fun for now...got word hiding from some oke in blue kit...for riding next to someone chatting enjoying the ride.....slower than the everyone else.

Which brings me to why I started this thread...basic rules for us newbies to road cycling...I plan on spending a lot more time on the circuit so maybe someone can share a few tips and basic road etiquette.

By the way...thanks to the person with the white bike for the tow...I just couldn't keep up...but really enjoyed it while it lasted...there were a lot of comments afterwards in the car park...about how it looked like you were just taking it easy at over 40 km/hr...looked like you were just resting on tri bars [emoji106]????
