The "Skislope" in Pretoria East is a well known training hill, close to Leribisi Lodge. Steep and long up, fast and free down. BUT my cycling friend was knocked down on Saturday 23 Feb. Going down fast, he collided with a bakkie moving up the hill on the wrong side of the road. Broken wrist, 3 ribs and shoulder. In serious condition in ICU. This is a general wake-up call to cyclists on the slope. PLEASE be careful going down. Also KEEP LEFT going up the hill and be aware of cyclists coming down fast!
