Riding in the Valley of 1000 Hills is usually restricted by being inaccessible and inhospitable for riders without adequate logistical support. With an experienced crew and suitable support vehicle Detour Trails Day Adventures makes the unusual & spectacular Valley trails accessible.

 

Sun 24th July - MKELKHELE TRAIL – MFULA via UMGENI up, DUZI down – approx 55km

 

This one is for the mountain biker who enjoys more technical trails as the route down into the valley has steep sections and follows the river over some nice rocky bits. Once in the valley it follows the Umgeni River on some slick rock before joining single track and dirt road all the way to Mfula. It’s not that far, but is sure to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
