New format XCO Racing in 2017

 

In the interests of keeping the sport fun, whilst at the same time providing the opportunity for our competitive cyclists to be tested, KZN Mountain Biking has

changed the format of racing for the 2017 season.

 

For the KZNMTB XCO series, there will be four separate races. These races will be called “Race Batches” and riders will be seeded into these relevant batches in accordance with their average lap times, and finishing positions from the previous race.

 

A scoring system exists that will be able to measure riders across batches, and in age groups. Men and Woman will race together.

 

The Podium will consist of the Top 10 in every Batch.

 

The Nipper and Sprog Age Groups will still be run separately on their own course.

 

The U14 (Sub Junior) Age will race in the Batches, but will be limited to a maximum of the “B” Batch.

 

Registration: 7h30 – 12h30 – Registration will close 30 minutes before each batch start
