Stolen: Silverback Slade 4 2016

My son (11) was mugged by a single assailant, at the southern exit from Keurboom Park, Claremont. The incident occurred at 13h15 on Friday 3rd February 2017, as he was riding home from school. The assailant pulled him off his bike and rode across Keurboom Road at the nearby pedestrian traffic light, then down St Patrick's Road, then into Water Street, Claremont. There is video footage available from an adjacent house where the incident occurred.

 

ADT, Princeton, Harlyn neighbourhood watch and Claremont SAPS all involved. Claremont SAPS have been excellent.

 

Unfortunately, this is the second incident to affect this small school cycling group of six. Parents of the boys have suspended their riding to and from school until we can be more assured of their safety.
