Garmin Edge 500 cannot load into Garmin Express

Try a hard reset, usually gets rid of any software gremlins:

 

1. 1. Power device off.
2. 2. Press and hold Page/Menu, Start/Stop and Power simultaneously.
3. 3. Release buttons when the word "Garmin" disappears.

 

This is the first thing NavWorld will try should you take it to them...
