Awesome service!!

 

Here's a heads-up on how to do business, over the Hub and no doubt elsewhere.

 

I bought a second hand Garmin from Callan in September last year.  Long story short, there was a problem with the gcs sensor which I only got round to fitting months later.  The corner disintegrated under pressure of a cable tie and had obviously been glued together... so no matter what I tried, I could not get it to sit properly so all parts talked nicely to each other.

Half the reason I wanted the unit was to use these sensors on the indoor trainer.

Bugger.

So after some thought, I sent a PM letting Callan know about the problem and that I wasn't happy with the condition of the goods....

No reply.

Just about to give up I sent another PM.

Not only did I get a reply, a couple of weeks back I received a brand new replacement sensor set dispatched at Callan's own expense.  Almost a year after the original purchase.

 

Callan has no posts on the Hub but an excellent rating, so I was a bit surprised at the condition of the goods (there were other problems but I could live with them, second hand after all...).

Turns out this unit was a sale for someone else and Callan was not aware of the issue. Genuinely, I believe.

AND NO, he did not say, SORRY, you let me know months later, or, SORRY, it was a sale on behalf of someone else. 

What he did say was, I accept responsibility, how can I fix this?

AWESOME!

Having read the response of some other traders, I don't feel my positive rating is sufficient in this instance, hence this post.

Integrity is still a thing.  Callan sure has it.  Go read his other ratings.  They are earned.

100% agree. CBT is my go to bike shop. Callan and the crew are always willing to help and will go beyond expectation as the norm. 

 

Also helps that they don't laugh at me when I think I know what I am talking about but am actually just very confused
