RS685 levers with XT calipers

Hi all

 

Bought these Shimano road levers (hydraulic brakes, mechanical shifters) and would like to know if I can get these to work with XT calipers? Would like to hear from people that have tried the same/similar combination. If you got this setup to work fine, please offer some much appreciated advice from your experience....... My road bike currently has flatbar and mtb brakes. (Yes I am going to drop bars).
