New Demacon Max Wax MTB Series in Mpumalanga

 

 

Mountain bikers can look forward to an exciting new MTB series in Mpumalanga in 2019. The Demacon Max Wax event features three events in various superlative locations across the Lowveld and a fourth in the undulating hills of picturesque Dullstroom. Cyclists will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of tracks suited to seasoned and new mountain bikers, with every event offering its own thrills and challenges.

 

Previously known as the Mopani MTB series, this popular annual event has a new title sponsor on board – Demacon and Max Wax. The series will feature four races, which cyclists can enter as single events or a minimum of three races in order to qualify for a win in the series.

 

The 2019 series will introduce cyclists to two new locations: MTO Trails’ epic forest tracks at Pull Scar in White River and the thrilling, cosmos-lined routes surrounding Dullstroom. The latter promises to be an epic cycling weekend as the mountain bikers take over the town so book your accommodation early to avoid disappointment. Each event offers entertainment for the whole family so supportive friends and family can enjoy the day out as well.

 

This year event organisers are upping the ante by adding a 60km route. There will also be a 44km, 25km, 15km and 8km race for the younger riders. Steep climbs will be rewarded with breath-taking views while exhilarating single tracks will have your heart pounding for more.

 

The first event takes place on 2 February at Kavinga Guest House in Nelspruit. Next is Pull Scar’s forests on 2 March, Dullstroom on 27 April and the final at Casterbridge Hollow Hotel in White River on 18 May.
