G-man Posted April 29, 2019 Share Event Name: Maloti 100 MilerWhen: 28 September 2019Where: Barkly East, Eastern CapeCategory: MTBThe Southern Drakensburg Highlands Maloti 100 mile off-road cycling challenge...Riders will take on the 162km journey from the town of Barkly East to the town of Maclear in the Eastern Cape province.With 2966m of elevation gain, this event will be known as South Africa's toughest 100 mile event.Passing through the quiet but beautiful village of Rhodes, tackling the Naude’s Nek Pass (Third highest in South Africa 2590m) to get to the top of this iconic mountain range.This will be a high altitude adventure, and definitely one to tick off the bucket list. Its a one way trip from Barkly East to Maclear, with very little opportunity to view & support riders on the route.Check point tracking will be available for all riders during the event.
