Are these 2014 Campagnolo Bora wheels genuine?

Hi all,

 

I have just joined from Australia. It is a great site you have here. I have broswed a few times, and you have so much content and info.

 

I had a question about a pair of used campag bora ultra tubulars, which the ad shows as 2014.

 

My concern is the decals, as I am not sure if they are correct. Hard to tell any other aspects, as the pictures are front on. All other bora wheels that I have seen, the decals say bora ultra.

 

These have campagnolo and bora, but on the right side there is a red symbol, which I have not seen

before. Just saw it as bit of a red flag. Can anyone shed any light on them.

Maybe send an email to Campy themselves with the images attached to verify if they ever made wheels like those.

Edit - After spending 10 minutes going through images of Bora wheels on Google, I have to agree that the decals look off, BUT, I am no Campy expert so rather wait for other replies

Many thanks for the reply. I could not find any bora images, with the decals like that.

Also there is some wording on the rear wheel, which cant be read, but it is not on the front wheel. Maybe just something specific to zthe rear

 

I will wait and see if there are any other replies. If not I will send the pic to campag, and see what they say. The asking price is $750 AUD, which is good, but not if they are false.
