looking for QR end caps (Merida wheels/VP hubs)

i've got a set of Merida Comp wheels i want to use for a build for a friend, so replacing the hub is a last resort.

the wheels are Thru Axle (100x12 and 142x12). The frame i have has a TA fork, but rear dropouts are QR.

the hubs have no markings but a google seems to have them listed as VP hubs. the end caps look removable, but no amount of searching comes up with VP QR end caps existing anywhere

i've emailed Cape Cycle Systems and VP Components direclty, but yeah...a reply is as rare as the end caps.

anyone have any experience with these wheels or hubs, and whether another brand would be compatible.

I have some end caps I machined to use for that exact conversion. The hub I got was a novatech and it was 142mmx12 and thru axle. The caps just slide in. If you dont come right then you can have them

Thank you. I thunk first step is I'd need to pop the caps off and measure them so I know how generic they are.

Were the QR caps easy enough to machine?

See if you can get them off and pm me some measurements. I bought some from my LBS and used a lathe to turn them down to the correct size.
